Japan introduces new dye regulations, textile companies need to pay attention

Editor:浙江方圓聚合纖有限公司 │ Release Time:2018-09-19

Recently, the Japan Fiber Industry Alliance officially announced on its official website that it does not use specific azo dye industry self-discipline standards, requiring Japan to import textile and apparel products to provide specific azo dye test reports, no specific azo dye commitments and dyeing. Factory details. The relevant person in charge of the Shenzhen Inspection and Quarantine Bureau said yesterday that the implementation of the new standards will inevitably increase the cost of export enterprises in the short term, and export enterprises should actively respond.

According to the Shenzhen Inspection and Quarantine Bureau, among the dyes used in clothing and textile products, aromatic amines, which are part of dye intermediates, are carcinogenic if they come into contact with the skin. Therefore, hundreds of specific azo dyes containing this substance are used by the European Union. Many countries, such as the United States, have been listed as banned. In the industry self-regulation standard officially released in Japan, it is required that the content of 22 specific azo dyes involved in apparel textile products should not exceed 30 mg/kg, which is intended to be in line with international textile standards.

It is reported that more than 80% of the apparel and textile products in the Japanese market are imported from China, which is one of the markets that Chinese garment and textile export enterprises attach great importance to. The implementation of the new standards will inevitably increase the cost of exporting enterprises in the short term and bring certain trade risks to exporting enterprises. The inspection and quarantine department reminds relevant enterprises to actively respond, strengthen the procurement and acceptance of raw and auxiliary materials, and actively communicate with customers. If necessary, samples can be sent in advance to ensure that the export products meet the new requirements of the importing country.
